Numbers affect our lives in more ways than one. They have mundane as well as mysterious significance. Numerology deals with the mysterious effects of numbers on people. For instance, numerological indications are that the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, will become more powerful this year since she is a ‘number 9’ person. Likewise, ‘number 3’ people such Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy may get power but will not be able to use it to their best advantage and Number 2 people such as Mr Chandrababu Naidu and Amitabh Bachchan will get temporary relief but it will not last.

These predictions are being made on the basis of the unique relationship among numbers. The year 2010 is the 10th year of the 21st century. It, therefore, stands for 10 which is 1 as in 1+0=1. It should be clearly understood that 2010 will be ruled by Sun, the father of the Universe.

Number 1 is the source number of all other numbers. It stands, among other things, for light, knowledge, truth, fire power, solar energy, hospitals, medicines, life saving drugs, medical colleges, physicians, electricity, in addition to top bureaucrats and politicians.

Number 1 treats numbers 2, 3, 4, 7, 9 as friends, numbers 6 and 8 as enemies and number 5 as neutral. All number 1 people, whose birth date is 1, 10, 19 or 28, and who are associated with the above activities, would do good this year and get name, fame and glory. Number 1 people working in other spheres will get brighter opportunities or promotions.

People of 2, 3, 4, 7 and 9 numbers will get support from officials and government agencies wherever they are. But among them, the support gained by number 2 people will be purely temporary.

At the same time, number 3 people will get power in certain areas and number 4 people will draw support from all quarters but they may not be able to use it fully and judiciously.

Number 7 people will have temporary relief like those of number 2. Number 9 people, who also have inherent energy, will draw maximum power and utilise it fully to their best advantage.

The reason is that number 9 also stands for fire power like 1 which can destroy or even create. Number 6 and 8 people, whose birth date also adds up to the same value, will find it a difficult year. Some of them may fall sick, some may lose jobs, and others may land in scandals.

At the same time, Number 4 people such as the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, the US president, Mr Barack Obama, and Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi may not be able to use the all-round support they get judiciously.

Number 5 people like Mr Raj Thackeray will keep up the momentum while number 6 and number 8 people such as AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa and TRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao will find face hurdles in achieving their ambitions.

ANTICIPATE

Based on the period cycles in numerology, these 10 events are possible.

1. ISRO will reach a major milestone in the last week of April, first week of July or second week of November.
2. NASA will suffer loss of face in the last week of June because of major failures.
3. The BSE sensex is likely to touch its lowest between June 14 and 18.
4. The BSE sensex will peak from December 24 onwards.
5. India will set new records in sports between November 21 and December 6.
6. During the first week of June a major scandal involving top police or military officers or senior bureaucrats will break out.
7. Indian heritage will get global recognition due to new discoveries between September 10 and October 19.
8. The Telangana movement will lose steam and simmer down.
9. A leading Indian scientist is likely to get a prestigious international award.
10. India and a leading western country will sign a mutually beneficial agreement in October.

1. Chittagong or some other thickly populated port city in Bangladesh is likely to face a serious flood threat on August 22-23.
2. Parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra and other western towns and cities in India may experience a natural calamity on April 13.
3. A major forest fire is likely in an European country on November 4-5.
4. A major earthquake is likely to hit South American countries or Caribbean islands on October 27.
5. Tsunami may strike on June 24 (South Atlantic Ocean) or November 24 (Indian Ocean / South Pacific Ocean).
6. A train accident or an attack on a train is likely in India on April 30-May 1, resulting in heavy loss of life.
7. A terror strike on thickly populated areas in one of the southern cities is likely on May 7-8.
8. Terrorists may attack an entertainment spot in Hyderabad on November 6-8.
9. A major industrial tragedy may occur in one of the Asian countries on June 30.
10. Outbreak of a mysterious disease in one of the north Indian cities is likely to spread all over the country.
