A spiritual seeker on his path always encounters the above questions at some stage during his pursuits. The criticality of identifying the right Guru for appropriate guidance, to experience the non cognizable, needs no extra emphasis

When we study some of the known seekers or seers who have reached the ultimate various combinations are observed. Following examples from the scriptures and recent incidences can be taken up as case studies for deeper insights and contemplation.

1. Shuka son of Vyasa in Shrimad Bhagwatam was borne enlightened. By prarabdha and purvasanskar he took a body with moksha --- a case where birth itself is with liberation.
2. Satyakama Jabala in Brihadaranyaka Upanishad on being accepted for bramhavidya guidance by Gautam rishi is not given any direct guidance to start with. He is instructed to take his hundred crows, roam in the Himalayan jungles and come back for “official” guidance after they multiply to a thousand. In the jungles before Satyakama comes back the natural interaction with the birds, bulls, fire, etc. (the manifestations of the consciousness) evolves him to the final knowledge. --- A case where the Guru does not interact in the conventional mode. Satyakama learns from a range of manifestations and not one.
